Haak Winery awarded 10 medals in two prestigious Texas Wine Competitions

Haak Vineyards & Winery, in Santa Fe , Texas , recently participated in two prestigious wine competitions within the state of Texas : The Texas Best Wine Competition, sponsored by the Wine Society of Texas, and The Dallas Morning News International Wine Competition.

Haak Winery’s 2004 Blanc du Bois (dry) took top honors in competition, winning Best of Class in the Texas Best Wine Competition. Approximately 150 wines were entered to the competition from 31 Texas wineries. Blanc du Bois is a grape that is grown along the Gulf Coast . Haak Winery was the first Texas winery to produce Blanc du Bois on a large commercial scale. Haak Winery currently produces a dry and semi-sweet version of the Blanc du Bois, and was awarded a total of 8 medals in different categories.

Silver 2004 Blanc du Bois

Bronze 2004 Nouveau Jacquez

Bronze 2004 Blanc du Bois (Semi Sweet)

The Dallas Morning News International Wine Competition had 3,064 entries for their 21^st annual competition. Haak Winery was awarded the following medals:

Silver 2001 Vintage Port

Bronze 2003 Blanc du Bois (Semi Sweet)
