& The

Gulf Coast
Restaurant With a Hip West Coast Flavor --Where
else can you enjoy a gourmet meal in an historic bank lobby while music
from the Rolling Stones plays softly in the background? Hotel
Icon has found its voice in Chef Michael Kramer's new restaurant.
Chef Kramer brings his Los Angeles and San Francisco culinary
experience to an elegant downtown Houston locale. Oil company
executives, young couples, and the occasional celebrity sit side by side
in this urban retreat. Enjoy great food and a creative wine list.
Try chef Kramer's five or seven course tasting menu for a culinary
trip. Start your meal with a crimini mushroom soup "cappucino"
topped with truffle foam and porcini powder. Then move on to the
perfectly pan-seared Alaskan halibut resting on a bed of sautéed fennel
and truffle emulsion. Next comes the slow-cooked Venison Sous Vide with
caramelized apples and sour cherry sauce. It's so tender it will
melt in your mouth. Pair it with a Faust cabernet from
Rutherford. Don't forget to save room for the fourteen (14) layer
chocolate cake, a signature dessert. For a special occasion, ask General
Manager John Degnan if you can reserve the kitchen table. You and up to 7
of your closest friends can join Chef Kramer and his kitchen team "on
the line" between your ten decadent courses. www.hotelicon.com
